The project started with a simple frustration. Teams were spending huge amounts of time rebuilding the same UI patterns again and again. Designers worked in Figma. Developers worked in code. The two rarely matched perfectly, and maintaining consistency across both was painful.

shadcncraft solves that problem by providing a complete design system built on top of shadcn/ui, with matching React code and Figma files.

Everything is designed so teams can move from design to production without rebuilding components or guessing how something should be implemented.

About the founder

shadcncraft was created by Hamish O'Neill, a designer and design systems specialist based in Melbourne, Australia.

Hamish has spent years working on large scale design systems inside product companies, helping teams ship faster while maintaining consistency across design and engineering.

He built shadcncraft to bring the same level of structure and quality to teams building with the modern React stack.

What started as a Figma UI kit has grown into a full design system ecosystem used by developers and designers around the world.
